Grrr Arrrgh!

Would somebody please tell me why my kids are allowed to throw all the freaking fits they like, but when I have a moment of anger and frustration, they feel they have the right to lecture me on my attitude? Huh? Is that fair? Is that right?

Fuck 'em, and fuck the world.

Thanks Sue. I mean... why can't I have just five minutes of being pissed off without them wanting to have me committed? they really don't think of me as human, sometimes.

You're the parent! LOL Therefore you aren't supposed to have any of those nasty human emotions. There were days when mine were little when.... Let's just say I feel your pain.

And to think the kid in question is nearly 34 years old! You'd think he know better by now. I guess I should, too, but I suppose that's in a perfect world. Thanks for caring.

Mine are 22 and 19 and still look at me like I'm an alien when I get pissed off. It usually makes me madder! Yup, sorry. I'm a human, I'm a mom I'm not a robot.

I'm sorry. Kids seem to get to this age when they suddenly feel they know better. K can be like that with me sometimes.

Sometimes I just want to indulge myself with a snit. You'd think I'd earned the right after nearly 58 years, right? At least I can vent here, nice and quiet like. *hugs*

Sorry to read this.

Thanks, love. All this over five minutes of being stroppy. If only he could have kept his mouth shut, ya know?

Everybody is entitled to a moment. *hugs*

Thank you, and it would have been only that if he didn't have to have his say. **sighs**

What you said!

Thanks, hon. I feel vindicated.

You should have heard F lecturing me this weekend. It's what they do when they "know" they are grownup, and we must thus be past making judgements of our own.

Thanks, lovey. It's just when you used to change their nappies, it's grating when they start treating you like you're no longer human or sentient. During a rip-roaring fight when he was still in his teens, I broke down and cried. Told him I used to be a real human being with feelings and wants and desires, and was tired of walking on eggshells around him. Guess he's forgotten over the years.
