Oh Happy Day!

Seems like our little Jorge has had his frown turned upside down!! The Yankees won again this afternoon over Seattle, their first shut out of the season: 5-0. And... Hideki Matsui had his 2,000th hit.

The play of the game, however, was Roger Clemens announcing from George Steinbrenner's box that he was returning to the Yankees.

May I just add my two cents with a WOO and a HOO!!!! Someone who isn't cutting his teeth by making his major league pitching debut. Welcome back, Rog! You look just lovely in pinstripes.

Here's hoping the Rocket has some fuel left in the tank! We don't want another Randy Johnson riding into the sunset on our dime, now do we... ;)

One can only hope. At the very least the anticipation is good for the fans.

Wonderful day, wasn't it?!! The pitcher did well (first shut-out this season!), we had some hits (and some hit batters *g*), and Clemens was the icing on the cake. I loved the reaction in the dugout. *g*

It's amazing that it was kept so quiet - especially here in New York. *Does the happy dance* Another win! Another win!
