Such an elegant and pretty lady. No wonder you spent so much time together. *hugs hard* xxx

Isn't she gorgeous? No taking her for a boy-cat, to be sure. Thanks, Sue. **smooches**

Sincere condolences on your loss. I understand something of your pain, having lost Killer Terrier this time last year.

There really is not much worse than losing a faithful pet. Yet, as I told my kids years ago when we had to put our old poodle down for congestive heart failure (also 14 years) - with any luck, you'll outlive many pets in your lifetime. *sniffles*

My heart goes out to you. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a longtime furry companion. I know it's no consolation now, but the happy memories will stay with you forever.

I know, Sami... been down this route before. But still... she's no longer here. *hugs you back*

oh, sweetheart!! I am so, so, sorry for your loss. What a beautiful lady!! We had to put our cat down almost 6 years ago and got a new kitten right away by chance. They work their way into your heart and tug on your heartstrings, don't they?

*huggles you tight* You'll be in my thoughts hun.

In danger of making this too long, I hope this will help a bit....

"God saw you were getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "Come with me."

With tearful eyes we watched you go
and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
busy paws were put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best."

Beautiful poem, hon. Thanks. I only wish I were in the position to have another pet. That's the hardest part right now - not even having her litter-mate with me, and not being able to have any pets... unless you count my two twenty-something sons.

My sympathies. It's amazing how strong the relationship can be and how intense the feeling of loss.

Not much hurts more than losing a long-term pet... unless it's a short-term pet. Oh, and people, of course. Some of 'em, anyway. *hugs*
