Denial! Denial! Denial!

Yes, that's the land where I dwell. It's been a long, heartbreaking at times baseball season, so the last game just turned out way differently in my mind than in reality. Anyone who wants to join me here in Denial will be treated with kindness, met with kleenex, and fed whatever comfort food they want.

Anyhoo...

My friend sent me a forward of the most marvelous confections (though actually eating them would make me a bit queasy).

There are a whole bunch more, that I'm putting in link form (behind the cut tag for neatness) to spare the dial-up folks. They are so delicate and so lifelike in pose and expression, I just had to share. (I really hope nobody ate them after the photo shoot. **shudders**)

Now I think I'll go and cry myself to sleep. Alas, poor Yankees, so will you all. **sniffles**

I thought the babies were cute until I read they were candy. Now I am seriously creeped out and thinking of Goya's portrait of Cronos, which is one of the grossest bits of art ever made. (So much so that my daughter got a lot of respect points from the 7th grade boys when she used it in a mythology report a few years ago.)
