The news is bad, folks. Pita's spinal chord was severed and he will never regain the use of his back legs. With any luck at all, the surgery will leave him comfortable and able to use a wheeled chariot. My heart goes out to them.

I had just hoped...

Hey sweetheart - try eddieswheels.com...it's a local company that makes the wheelie carts.

I'm so sorry about your friend's dog.

Thanks, hon. I passed the info on to my friend. Tomorrow will tell the tale of the surgery, and the extent of the recovery.

Oh, poor little baby. I'm so sorry. That said, many dogs do very well with the "wheelchair." There's a lady in my neighborhood who has three Pomeranians (the really tiny ones), and one uses a little chariot. He keeps up with his sibs on walks and is just the happiest little thing ever. I hope things turn out OK for Pita.

Yeah, I know... once the shock of it all passes, it should get better. Just hoping the surgery goes well, and Pita makes it past that stage.

Nothing like being a puppy parent. Or animal parent of any kind. Eternal fuzzy children, and at 10 months, Pita has barely begun to live his life. **whimpers**
